Get Money for Surveys

December 26th, 2009

With the current recession, political uncertainty and today’s high unemployment, searching for ways to make extra money|there are lots of people looking for ways to earn money|there’s tons of people looking for additional income}. One place people turn to is the Internet, looking for ways to get involved and make extra cash.

There are tons of ways to make your living on the Internet. Most of these methods are only possible if you have specialized knowledge and skills, special training and tools that can cost money and take a lot of time to acquire. Almost all require substantial preparation, investment and planning. There are, however, a few exceptions.

One notable exception is to participate in legitimate paid surveys.

You see, large companies spend billions on advertising and promotion. They spend more billions on marketing research to find out just what consumers prefer, what they want, which advertisements they have seen. They must have this info to develop new products, improve old ones and to gauge the effectiveness of their advertising.

To get this information they hire skilled experts in marketing research. These market researchers use various tools, including surveys to measure consumer opinion. Today they almost always send their surveys out over the Internet to take advantage of its speed and low cost.

Measuring consumer preferences is a very big business activity on the Net. Thousands of new surveys are being make every week. There are surveys on practicaly everything! To get people to actually sit down and fill out the survey questionnaires, the market researchers have to pay them for their time. A short survey (5-8 minutes to finish) would pay $10. A longer one (15-20 minutes) might pay $25. Not much, but it adds up. Take a $10 and a $25 survey every day and you can expect to get over $1,000 in checks in the mail and/or deposits in your PayPal account every month!

To start making extra money, you just need to find online surveys that pay.

It is easy (and profitable) to get paid for surveys.

All about Opium perfume

December 26th, 2009

Perfumes are sold to us in glamorous boxes that are in keeping with their name or even the type of perfume that is in the box. When you see the Opium perfume box your first thought will be that you are holding an Oriental smelling perfume. This is because the distinctive red box has golden bamboo like leaves painted across the box cover.

This particular scent has been created by Yves Saint Laurent for women. The Opium perfume created quite an outcry and a stir when it was first released in 1977. This is because Yves Saint Laurent chose to give this new creation the name Opium. Up until this time opium was though of only as an addictive drug that caused hallucinations in the person who took the drug.

Once people got over the sensational name they fell in love with the fragrance and how it made them feel. Opium perfume is a designer perfume that has a flowery aroma to it. Yves Saint Laurent has recommended that women use Opium perfume as an evening perfume.

By releasing Opium perfume we were given an insight into the fascination that the Orient held for Yves Saint Laurent. This perfume also displays the understanding that Yves Saint Laurent had of a women’s nature. The many facets of a woman’s personality, hidden emotions and mysterious passions were evoked by the Opium perfume.

Opium perfume is an embodiment of all that is mysterious, magical and enchanting in our lives. This is truly a perfume that rouses our imagination with its exotic tones. When you open an Opium perfume bottle you will be greeted with the smell of luscious flower tones, rich and heady spices, and the soft notes of a woody forest.

The essential oils that were used to create the rich Oriental fragrance of Opium include the best quality Tangerine oils, Plum oils, Coriander and Clove oils for the top parts of the perfume. The heart of the Opium perfume was created from Carnation oils, Lily of the Valley and Rose. The perfume oils that allow Opium to linger in our senses are Myrrh oil, Opoponax resin, Castoreum, Cedarwood and Sandalwood.

All of these perfume oils were combined together to create this mysterious and sensuous perfume that we all know as Opium perfume. This classic perfume can be regarded as Yves Saint Laurent’s flag ship perfume for women. When you buy an Opium perfume you tease your senses and let your inhibitions vanish. Front Door Styles

December 25th, 2009

Front doors come in many designs however different periods had very distinctive styles

A typical Georgian door would of been a simple six panelled design without glass.

Georgian houses would have had simple flat frontages. Front doors sometimes had a simple semi-circular fanlight above. Later in the Georgian period more detail appeared. Stone work to provide a grander entrance with classical pillars, pediments, hoods and porches.

Victorian houses tended to have narrow hallways and entrances. The front door was often made of softwood and painted, stained or grained to look like hardwood. The doors would have been panelled, divided into four or six sections with some panels filled with glass. A beautiful front door would have been very important to the Victorian home owner so it would have been well maintained with gleaming brass furniture.

Edwardian houses were often built on wider so a side window was often fitted next to the door letting in more light to the hallway. The front door was often large, panelled and painted with Art Nouveau or Neo-Georgian glass. It was popular to paint the doors red or green.

The ideal look for a traditional home would have been heavy oak doors but often a more affordable choice was staining a cheaper wood. When doors were painted they would have been in dark colours of green and black with edges and panels picked out in cream. Traditional style doors would have used cast iron door furniture. Handles would often be seen two thirds of the way up. Decorative lead glass work would have been found in the top half of the door or as a sidelight.

Modern style homes would likely have had painted softwood doors with geometric shapes of coloured glass, often using patterns of sun rays or chevrons. Door furniture tended to be chrome.

The best way of finding the right style of front door is to look at the other houses in the street. Chances are you’ll see the original style for your house.

Modern Composite Doors come in designs to cover all styles of house. By having a composite door fitted you can ensure your house reflects the period it was built but with modern materials and security.

Having a composite door gives you the very best non maitenance solution.

Learning About Good Home Security Systems

December 25th, 2009

Protecting your home is something you should do not matter where you live. Though you have a high chance of break-in when you live in urban or suburban areas, they can happen anywhere to anyone at anytime. You may feel safe, but you will feel safer if you invest in some home security systems. You may find that they are not as expensive as you think they are, and that you will sleep a whole lot better each night knowing that someone is watching over your family 24 hours a day.

Today’s home security systems can come from a well-known security company, but there are others that are getting into the mix. Companies like Time Warner Cable are now offering these services to their customers, and the prices are not all that bad. They can use existing technology in your home to set up home security systems, so that means getting one into your home is much easier than it would be if someone had to start from scratch. They offer the same services as other companies, so that might be a good way to go if you already have cable and Internet through them.

Getting rid of pantry beetles

Your home security systems can be as complicated or easy as you want them to be. You may not need a lot, or you may have so many vulnerable spots on your home that your system has to be a bit more than what your neighbor may have. Any company that can hook you up with a system and with service can tell you what they think you need and they can tell you why. The final choice for what you get will be up to you, of course, but you should always at least listen to what they have to say before you make your choice.

The thing to remember about home security systems is that you do not want something that completely limits your lifestyle. If you have young children, it is more important than ever to have one, but you don’t want one that is going to go off all the time when the child goes exploring the house. Think about what you want in the way of window alarms, as they can actually let you know when a toddler has gotten one open. That can save their lives in a whole different way. Just make sure you don’t feel like a prisoner, but safe at the same time. A good balance should be easy to find.

Javea Villas Jewel

December 21st, 2009

On a particularly cold day, after finding myself crank up the central heating yet again, and after repeated recommendations from friends, we decided to see for ourselves why Javea in the Northern territory of Costa Blanca is lovingly depicted as the “Jewel of the Costas” and why The World Health Organisation report it to be one of the worlds healthiest places to be.

Searching the web for accommodation in Javea wasn’t easy, particularly as our exacting standards meant that we really needed a Private property. We scanned for Villa rentals in the Javea area where we discovered some excellent villa Javea websites.

Javea’s development over the years from a small fishing village to a quality well laid out vacation resort featuring three areas, the old town of El Pueblo, the port area known as Aduanas del Mar and the beach area of Arenal. Rentin Javea offered plenty to choose from in all locations including many “off the beaten track” beauty spots.

We opted for one of the beautiful Javea villas with great views of the Montgo Mountain which turned out to be even better we imagined. Private and peaceful with facilities that were second to none, car hire was recommended,|Privacy was a feature we like and combined with excellent facilities made our peaceful retreat the type of holiday you just can’t forget for all the right reasons. A car rental was included} enabling us to alternate the peace and tranquillity of villa life with the various and diverse attractions Javea had to offer us, including, luckily enough for the men in our party a choice of over half a dozen Golf Courses

The Jewel of Javea is now on our hot list of resorts that have to be visited again and again… Don’t take my word for it… follow one of the links in the text above and see for yourself what is so special about Javea!

Business networking Tips

Is Your Judgment Costing You Business?

Our judgments and evaluations happen instantly and are filtered through memories of our good and bad past experiences. This happens subconsciously. I don’t think that we’re even aware to the depth of which our judgments control our actions. We’re always judging everything and everyone. Unfortunately, most of the time our judgments and preconceived notions are WRONG! These preconceived notions and judgements can really hurt us when it comes to business networking. Here is an example;Think about the last time you saw a cop following you in your rear view mirror. Exactly what went through your mind? Were you in fact driving ‘inappropriately’?

Just like the police in your rear view mirror, when you see someone you judge whether they’re fat, or thin, loud or quiet, attractive or ugly, and darn near anything else about them. Your mind is reacting to it’s pre-conditioned sequence of responses. Which may really hinder you at networking events. Here, I’m not talking about your intuitions and inner knowings. They’re always accurate. The problem is when we don’t listen to our inner knowings. Well I don’t.

Here’s a personal example of how this works. I really like Halle Berry. This attraction has challenged me in both my business and personal life. When ever I meet a “Halle Berry Type”, I ignore my intuition which usually tells me:”the inside ain’t as pretty as the outside”. I’ve had financial and emotional costs to ignoring my intuition. The same thing happens when we find someone repelling. Beginning to sound familiar?

In 3 to 4 seconds, we’ve made up our minds about the other person. You’ve no doubt heard “You Never Get A Second Chance to Make a First Impression”. But it’s true. Regardless of how we dress, look or present ourselves we have little to no control over how we are perceived by others. BUT, We do have absolute control over how we perceive other people.

This is the bottom line for your business. Don’t judge a power partner (business networking partner) by their cover.
