Were We Really Just Impulse-Buying A Classic Mustang
So I haven’t much had any time to speak on this web site nearly as often as I’d planned, owing to the fact that I have been roped into helping my pops fuel his incredibly wacky midlife crisis. True, you might think it isn’t as crazy as it could be. You see, the way he played it out was he dressed up like fonzie, and drop by to my place and tell me, in his jazziest tone of voice: “Get ready, bro, you and I are out looking for some classic Mustangs. You heard that right, youngster, it’s about time I buy an old school muscle car.”
And so my Dad and I were off to a couple of those creepy vintage car sales lots that you’re just about sure are owned by the mob, and I witness the dude made out a check right there on the spot, for an extremely well-preserved classic Ford automobile. I mean, it really is quite machine. It sounded amazing as well.
You’ll notice I wrote that last sentence in a past tense. It had a great sound right until it rendered itself silent. My Dad says that it’s a simple fix and he just needs to find the right part. I’m thinking, it can’t possibly be as painless to get your hands on 1968 Mustang parts as it was over a thousand years ago, but my pop swears there is a pretty good-sized availability for them in spite of their age. From what I’m told the surest way to get you parts for 1966 Mustangs is by way of internet auctions, since you can find them rebuilt and often even brand new. Not necessarily super-cheap, however… I mean, these are ancient automotive parts.
Could be worse, though… He might’ve bought himself a harley.
